Audition Announcement for the Goderich Little Theatre Fall Production
Betty Byleorski Finds A Homeor Settling the Great Canadian West written and directed by Duncan McGregor
Performance Dates - October 22-25/ October 29-November 1
The play is an action-packed story spanning 20 years from the beginning of the 1900s to the end of World War 1. The characters contend actively with ice storms on the Atlantic, con men on the train, mosquitoes on the ox cart, prairie fires, gophers, temperamental threshing machines, picnic lunches and a World War.
Characters: We are looking for adult performers who have a playing age of 18-50, who can handle multiple vigorous roles and can sing. (Note: The play is not a musical but there are a number of musical pieces.)
We are also looking for 2 young male actors who have a playing age of 8 - 12
Auditions: Tuesday August 25- The audition will last from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. (We begin rehearsals on Tuesday, September 1) The activities will include improvisational acting, short readings from the play and group singing. All are welcome regardless of experience. The cast will include approximately 15 actors.
Special Note: If, after the Tuesday audition, you are interested in being a part of the cast, there will be character specific auditions on Wednesday August 26 and Thursday August 27 from 7-9.
Please choose one of those evenings.
Special Special Note: If you cannot attend the week night auditions there will be a Sunday audition (August 30) from 2-5 pm. Please be prepared to stay for the entire time.
All Auditions will take place at The Livery, 35 South St., Goderich.
